Airport Management Professional Accreditation Programme
The Airport Management Professional Accreditation Programme (AMPAP) is a strategic initiative which arose from a partnership between Airports Council International (ACI) and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), announced in May 2006,〔(ICAO and ACI join forces on airport training )〕 and launched in March 2007,〔(ICAO and ACI launch International Accreditation Programme for Airport Managers )〕〔(ACI, ICAO Unveil New Accreditation Program )〕 which has redefined the training manual.〔(ACI’s decision to team up with ICAO to create the Airport Management Professional Accreditation Programme (AMPAP) )〕 The primary focus of AMPAP is to train a new generation of airport leaders. AMPAP courses cover all functional areas of the airport management with an emphasis on best managerial practices in a cross-cultural environment.
Candidates who successfully complete the AMPAP curriculum earn the International Airport Professional (IAP) designation.
